2. R-AMA
Help Initiative/MMR
Drs. Vladimir Bogin, Gregory Chernyak and Igor Efimov
We are working on the organization of R-AMA educational mission
to Russia. The 3rd Moscow Medical Institute agreed to host
the trip and we will keep you posted on the new developments.
3. Scholarship/Grants and Awards
Dr. Nikolay Vasilyev
R-AMA will sponsor two winners of the Russian National Student
Scientific Paper Contest to visit the US in the summer of
2005
4. R-AMA Journal – 2nd issue
Dr. Nikolay Vasilyev
We will make a Call for Abstracts for the second issue in
the early 2005. If you have material, which you want to publish,
please, submit it to the Editorial Board of R-AMA.
5. Planning for the 3rd National Conference

Updates on the progress in preparations for the 3rd National
R-AMA Conference were presented and discussed. The conference
is planned for the late 2005 in Washington, DC
6. Ohio Chapter/Winter meeting
Dr. George Muenster
The meeting is planned for the December 17th of 2004 and preparations
are underway. We expect over 100 attendies from Ohio and surrounding
states. We have substantial support from several major drug
companies.
7. R-AMA Forum
Dr. Ivan Alpatov
Several issues related to the work of the R-AMA Discussion
Forum were discussed, including membership, limitations and
censorship. All updates will be posted on the R-AMA web site.
8. Health Magazine “Zdorovie”
Dr. Dmitry Arbuck became a member of the Editorial Board of
the magazine. Several R-AMA members submitted their articles
for publication. With 35,000 monthly circulation “Zdorovie”
is an important information source for Russian patients and
physicians, especially for those who have private practice.
R-AMA will continue developing the cooperation with the magazine
and all updates will be posted on the web site.
9. Online payments for R-AMA membership will become
available this month.
10. Copies of the R-AMA Journal will be sent to all
members this week.
Next Board of Directors meeting will take place on January
20th, 2005 |
