Started medical education at the Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy in 1990 and then transferred to the Unviversity
of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine after moving to the USA in 1994. Subsequently he completed Neurosurgical
Residency at the University of Chicago. Following residency he went to complete a Complex Spine Fellowship at the
Johns Hopkins Hospital where he stayed on faculty. Currently he is the Director of the Neurosurgical Spine Service
at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare and the Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery and Oncology at the Northwestern University.
